Palomar Aviation’s state-of-the-art Cirrus SR2X G7 flight simulator, equipped with the advanced Garmin G2000 avionics suite, delivers a highly realistic training experience. Students can select from diverse flight profiles and weather conditions, such as clear skies, overcast, marine layer, or IMC, allowing for targeted skill development in a controlled environment. Supporting both solo and instructor-guided sessions, the simulator provides extensive opportunities to master flight mechanics and the intricate “switchology” of the Cirrus avionics system.
Log time in the
AATD Certified Sim
Palomar Aviation's Cirrus simulator is an FAA-certified Advanced Aviation Training Device (AATD) which has been certified by the FAA. It enables students to log simulator hours toward their certifications. Pilots can credit up to 20 hours toward an Instrument Rating and up to 50 hours toward a Commercial Rating. The simulator also features a functional Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) handle which allows students to practice emergency scenarios, including CAPS deployment, adhering to proper deployment criteria and emergency checklists.
Palomar Aviation utilizes the RealSimGear SR2X G7 simulator to emulate the Cirrus Aircraft G7 fleet.
