Earn your Private Pilot’s License (PPL) in the most advanced, state-of-the-art piston aircraft in the air today. And learn from our factory trained flight instructors who teach in accordance with the Cirrus Aircraft standardized training curriculum. Watch the Cirrus Approach video series, and then take to the skies in a new Cirrus Perspective+ G6 aircraft under the watchful eye of a Cirrus Standardized Instructor Pilot (CSIP). We will move you through the training curriculum efficiently so you can become a licensed Pilot in Command (PIC).
CIRRUS TRANSITION CERTIFICATE
Our Cirrus Transition Course is primarily designed for licensed pilots that are currently non-instrument rated, and who wish to fly Cirrus aircraft. This excellent course, designed by Cirrus, can be completed in approximately 10 hours of flight training with one of our CSIP Instructors.
COMPREHENSIVE INSTRUMENT TRAINING
Once you’ve earned your Private Pilot’s License (PPL), it’s time to begin training for your Instrument Rating. Don’t let the Southern California marine layer stop you from flying - Continue your training at Palomar Aviation using the standardized Cirrus training curriculum and obtain your Instrument Rating which will increase your safety and flexibility.
STATE-OF-THE-ART FLIGHT SIMULATOR
Palomar Aviation has a state-of-the-art flight simulator which includes the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite. Select from an assortment of standard flight profiles as well as different weather conditions (clear, overcast, marine layer, IMC). The simulator is available either with or without a flight instructor, so you can spend hours of time learning the mechanics of flying and the “switchology” associated with the Cirrus Perspective+ advanced avionics suite.
EXPERT AIRCRAFT MANAGEMENT
Our Team at Palomar Aviation are experts in aircraft management including maintenance, warranty, avionics updates, insurance, and cleaning. We can also help you obtain a cost-efficient way to hanger your airplane at the Palomar Aviation Cirrus Port at the Carlsbad Jet Center (CJC), the newest Fixed Based Operator (FBO) at Palomar Airport. Once your plane is in our lease back program, we manage the schedule and maintenance requests to ensure your plane reaches its full potential as an additional revenue stream.
